This Privacy Policy explains how Breaking Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Book Sort Puzzle mobile app (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Process

The App is a casual game. It does not require you to create an account and does not intentionally collect direct identifiers (such as your name) unless you contact us. Depending on your device and choices, we may process:

  • Device & technical data: device model, OS version, App version, language/region, IP address (processed technically), advertising IDs (e.g., Android Advertising ID).

  • Usage data: gameplay events (e.g., levels played, progress), session metrics, feature usage.

  • Diagnostics: crash logs, performance/error reports.

  • In-App Purchases (IAP): non-sensitive transactional information returned by the app stores (e.g., product ID, purchase status). We do not receive your full payment details.

  • Advertising data (if ads are active): advertising ID and related signals to show and measure ads.

  • Communications you send us: emails and any attachments you provide to support.

Special categories: we do not intentionally collect sensitive data (e.g., health, biometric).

3. Purposes & Legal Bases (GDPR)

We process data to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the App (performance of a contract – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Analyze usage, improve features, and fix issues (legitimate interests – Art. 6(1)(f)).

  • Show and measure advertising (where required, based on consent – Art. 6(1)(a)).

  • Comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Where local law requires consent (e.g., for personalized ads or use of the advertising ID), the App will present a consent prompt. You can refuse or later withdraw consent in the App (if provided) or via your device settings.

4. SDKs & Recipients

To deliver core functionality we may share limited data with service providers that act as processors or independent controllers (as applicable), such as:

  • Analytics/Diagnostics: services that collect anonymized/aggregated usage and crash data.

  • Advertising (if enabled): ad networks and mediation partners for serving and measuring ads.

  • App stores: Google Play Billing for IAP fulfillment.

These providers process technical/usage data and the advertising ID for the purposes above. Their privacy notices and opt-out mechanisms are available on their websites. (We can provide an SDK-specific list upon request.)

5. International Transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) or another lawful basis under applicable law.

6. Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated:

  • Usage/technical data: for active use and a limited analysis/diagnostics window.

  • Crash logs: for troubleshooting cycles and stability improvements.

  • IAP records: as required for entitlement management and legal/accounting compliance.
    Afterwards, data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, data minimization). No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access and misuse.

8. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age threshold (e.g., 13). If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights (GDPR/EEA & UK)

Subject to conditions and exemptions, you may:

  • access your personal data;

  • request rectification or erasure;

  • restrict or object to processing;

  • request data portability;

  • withdraw consent at any time (when processing is based on consent), without affecting prior lawful processing;

  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., in Italy: the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

10. Your Choices

  • Device settings: reset or limit your advertising ID in system settings.

  • In-App privacy choices: when provided, adjust consent/preferences in the App.

  • Notifications (if used): manage via OS settings.

11. Third-Party Links

Any third-party sites/services linked from the App have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal or product changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
